In 2022, we launched a ground-breaking initiative, bringing twelve highly motivated SVG students to the Isle of Man for a transformative three-week cultural and educational programme. The programme’s focus was to foster international cooperation and provide the students with insights into a different culture, history, and lifestyle. You can read more about this initiative here. For 2026, subject to successful fundraising, ISEP plans to repeat this programme to inspire another group of Vincentian students.
ISEP is committed to supporting the educational development of SVG students by providing scholarships and resources. Our goal is to empower the students to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams. Check out our scholarship here.
We are facilitating a project to launch an equivalent of the well-established Manx plastic clean-up initiative, Beach Buddies, in SVG. This initiative aims to create awareness and promote action towards environmental sustainability. Building on what the 2022 visiting students learned about the Isle of Man's UNESCO biosphere status, we are exploring lessons that SVG can take from the Isle of Man's experience in applying for its own whole-nation biosphere.
Our first cultural and educational exchange programme in 2022 has already made a significant impact. The twelve participating SVG students returned home with increased self-confidence, broader worldviews and a deepened sense of ambition for their future. The programme was achieved on a modest budget of £50,000, demonstrating our commitment to efficient resource management.
Our proposed initiatives such as launching Beach Buddies in SVG and encouraging SVG’s consideration as a UNESCO whole-nation Biosphere aim to promote environmental sustainability in the country.
Through our scholarships, we aim to support the academic and career growth of deserving students, creating a lasting impact on their lives and the wider SVG community.
